Lockwood GEN6TX
The Lockwood range of legally protected keying platforms now includes GEN6TX, a further evolution of Lockwood’s proven Generation Six platform. GEN6TX uses the patent protected FP2 feature, giving legal protection to your restricted key system and offering security with the ability to control your keys.
Legal Key Control
Key control is fundamental to the security of your building. Legal protection has been afforded to the GEN6TX keying platform in the form of patent in Australia, as well as design registration in both Australia and New Zealand.
High Quality Australian Manufacturing
The Lockwood brand is known throughout Australia for its commitment to local manufacturing and high quality products, and GEN6TX® is no exception. All barrels and keys are manufactured in ASSA ABLOY Opening Solution’s Oakleigh facility to the highest degree of precision and quality.
Renewed Legal Protections
Legal protection is afforded to the keying system through the interaction of the stepped key shoulder and the two-stop surface system on the barrel. This feature is known as ‘FP2’.
Lockwood GEN6TX® will launch with patent protected features on keys and barrels in Australia until 2036. GEN6TX® will also launch with design registrations on keys and barrels in both Australia and New Zealand until 2032.
Backwards Compatible
It is important to maintain support for existing systems, so Locksmiths and end users are free to transition smoothly to the enhanced legal protection of GEN6TX®.
- GEN6TX® keys blanks will be supplied from launch and are backwards compatible with Generation 6 / GEN6T systems.
- GEN6TX® barrels will be available in parallel with Generation 6 / GEN6T barrels, to support existing systems.
Effective Key Control
In addition to physical security, key control is a fundamental aspect of any restricted keying system. Each GEN6TX® key blank is distributed through our comprehensive but secure dealer network, so the risk of unauthorised key duplication is eliminated. This ensures only authorised personnel can obtain keys for their system.
Simple and cost-effective
Lockwood GEN6TX® launches with no additional requirements for coding or cutting keys. All key blanks can be cut on most standard key cutting machines that also cut 6-pin inline key blanks. Further investment is not required. Lockwood GEN6TX® stands out as the perfect solution for applications both small and large, where key control can be easily managed without the added cost associated with a more premium restricted keying system.
